The only op on to these two expecta ons is anarchy and chaos. We are serious about motorcycle ministry. When joining BSHDFC, there is an expecta on our members know and keep both the rules and the spirit of our mission. We give our BEST to Christ and His kingdom. our Bylaws Declare our Mission Our bylaws begin with a "mission statement." This is the general purpose and direc on given to every member in Black Sheep HDFC. It reads…"To introduce the world of motorcycle riders to Jesus Christ, for the purpose of making more and be er disciples through the ministry of the local church." The inspira on for our mission is: "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all na ons, bap zing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." (Jesus' words in Ma hew 28:18-20) Black Sheep is not a church, but we are THE church and are, therefore, sent out by Christ. The difference is, we do not spend the me and resources we have duplica ng what the local church is already doing. Our mission is not to bap ze and teach, but to "…go and make disciples" and "introduce the world of motorcycles riders to Jesus Christ." our Bylaws Declare our statement of faith Our members are from many different churches and denomina ons. Our "Statement of Faith" is how we stay united in the essen als of the Gospel. • We believe the Bible is the authorita ve Word of God. • We believe there is only one God, eternally existent in three persons; the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. • We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in all of His miracles, in His subs tu onary and atoning death through His blood which was shed on the cross, in His bodily resurrec on to the right hand of the father and in His personal return in victory and power. Jesus Is LorD! • We believe that all persons are sinful and lost and in need of salva on and that salva on comes only through the name of Jesus Christ and His sacrifice on the cross. • We believe in the present ministry of God the Holy Spirit; in His convic ng, cleansing and empowering work. • We believe in the resurrec on of all persons; that they are resurrected to either eternal life and glory or to eternal damna on. • We believe in the spiritual unity of all Chris ans. We are the church, united as the bride of Christ. Scripture suppor ng each of these beliefs are detailed in the bylaws. To insure our focus on Christ and Him crucified and the need for every person to come to Him for salva on, we must limit our focus to the seven statements above. our Bylaws reveal our core Values (Abbreviated Version) • We value first and foremost our own personal rela onship with the Lord Jesus Christ. • We value our lives and our families, so we ride soberly and safely. • We value the Bible (the Word of God) as our authority for ministry and living. • We value the rela onships we have with our brothers and sisters in the church. • We also value rela onships with those in the motorcycle community; Chris an or not. • We deeply value any who have not yet received Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. • We value being in the world but not of the world. • We value authority and so we respect law enforcement and obey all traffic laws. _____________________________________________________ conTacT our offIces for an extended descrip on of who we are and how we do motorcycle ministry.
