Our culture encourages us to climb the social or corporate ladder, to promote ourselves, and to compete for the top spot. To make our business be er and successful in return because, I am or will be, stable and enjoy life with a financially comfortable lifestyle. The emphasis is always upwardly mobile and always "I". Then there's Jesus descending. Giving up his rankin glory. Choosing obscurity. Saying no to the tempta on to elevate self. Saying yes to servant hood and humility, that is the "real ministry". So, what is the Chris an ministry most of us are involved in? "Ministry" comes from the Greek word diakoneo, meaning, "to serve" or doulevo, meaning, "to work" and in those days "as a slave." In the New Testament, ministry is seen as service to God and to other people in His name. Jesus provided the pa ern for Chris an ministry—He came, not to receive service, but to give it (Ma hew 20:28; Mark 10:45; John 13:1-17). THE BIGGEST MISTAKE WE MAKE AS CHRISTIANS AFTER ACCEPTING CHRIST IS, WE LIVE OUR LIVES AND 'TRY TO FIT GOD INTO OUR LIVES' INSTEAD OF 'LIVING FOR GOD AND FITTING OUR LIFE IN HIS WILL'. ~ Peter TheGreek When in prayer last week, I realized most likely THE BIGGEST MISTAKE WE MAKE AS CHRISTIANS. Most of us Chris ans a er accep ng Christ, we live our lives and try to: 'fit God into our life, instead of living for God and fi ng our life in His will'. Think about that. Sit back one evening a er your day and look back. Think about your day. Think about all you do that does not involve God and in some cases you could involve Him, do the same things in a different way and for His glory, and as you think of these things and maybe write them down, look over the unnecessary waste-of- me you spend your me on and see how you can replace them with 'serving God'. If you replace one meaningless lunch, one meaningless coffee or drive to the store, and instead you simply read a Bible passage or chapter, or take a few minutes to pray for another, you will be storing your riches in heaven instead of spending your resources and me on earth. If there is no God and no heaven, it makes perfect sense to scratch and claw for glory and fame here and now. But if the Bible is true, the day is coming when God will shock the world by exul ng to the highest places those quiet servants who have given their lives away for others and for the cause of Christ (Philippians 2:5-11). Beginning with this issue and in the next two upcoming issues of Wheels Of Grace, we will be featuring the Interna onal Presidents from three of the most prominent Motorcycle Ministries in the United States. We know these men personally; these men live for God, and fit their own lives in His will. We are honored to have them featured in Wheels Of Grace.
