Oh, I'm not leaving Black Sheep! In fact, it's because of Black Sheep that I am where I am today in my walk with Christ. So listen up! is may be for you. Don't make excuses like, "I am too busy!" or "I am not ready yet!" Trust in the Lord and let the Holy Spirit lead you. He makes time for you and your needs and He will make the time you need to follow Him in whatever He is calling you to do. e sooner you begin, the sooner you will start reaping the rewards! Steve Whisner determined to follow through with whatever the Lord was doing. It took several months to fill out the paperwork and to be accepted, but it was all worth it! I made it clear to the head chaplain that I was in a motorcycle ministry and not a shirt and tie kind of guy; I would be wearing boots, jeans and a Black Sheep dress shirt whenever I visited with patients. Much to my surprise, he had no problem with that. I'm not a Bible scholar or a prayer warrior. I don't carry a Bible with me or read Scripture to the patients when I visit them. I'm not "winging it", but my style is to pray ahead of time, trust God and just talk (and oen pray) with the patients – and they seem to like that. As the months have now passed and the nurses have become used to me, they now greet me when I come in and even direct me to patients they think I should see. I am humbled and honored by this and realize that I am where the Lord wants me. ere has never been a visit that I wasn't nervous going in and blessed coming out! "…if you're ready to go to work, give us a call." WheelsOfGrace.com June/July 2016 19
