The wacky scheme has friends in high places – including Superinten- dent Weis (pronounced "Wees.") Weis dismissed concerns from his offi cers that the proposal, by Alder- man Anthony Beale and John Pope, is an aggressive move to outsource law enforcement jobs. "Oh no," he said, according to the Chicago Tribune.
