Customize, print, and distribute the brochure "About Seated Massage," available in the Marketing Center section of www.abmp.com. When you develop a service like that, what do you have? Chair massage! Chair massage overcomes the biggest psychological barriers that prevent people from using massage and as a result makes massage truly accessible. And my little test at that corporate office really hit that point home for me. To add to that, it provides people with what they really want: relaxation. When you do make the move to an office space, you have a group of existing chair massage clients who you can move over to your clinical massage practice. These are people you've already established a relationship with, who may be comfortable enough to try Swedish massage or other modalities you practice. Instead of being confined to four walls, you can get out and experience a little variety in your work. Many
