Shepherd. Shepherd's ride was memorialized in his 1922 book Across America by Motor-Cycle, which Hunnibell has restored and made available again. He is averaging about 45 mph. And mishaps have been limited to a flat re, a lost dust cover from the carburetor and, just before arriving at the AMA campus, a sheared clutch pedal. "I wanted to ride across Reciprocity Bridge near Hopewell, Ohio," Hunnibell said. "The bridge was OK. But the approach was down a grassy hill, and I hit one of the rocks they put in place to keep cars from crossing the bridge." Hunnibell, a 61-year-old AMA member from Yellow Springs, Ohio, came into possession of the Henderson in 1978. His father gave it to him as a basket case. A er Hunnibell re red in 2018 from his career as an American Airlines captain, he decided to get the Henderson running. "This is the first motorcycle I've owned," he said. "I got my motorcycle license on a Honda Express when I was about 21 out in California. But I hadn't ridden since then." In prepara on for his cross-country jaunt, Hunnibell bought a Honda CB350 Four and prac ced riding it and the Henderson. Hunnibell's tribute to C.K. Shepherd—an AMA Grand Tour— retraces Shepherd's route as closely as possible. sOns Of anarChy spin-Off mayans mC teases shOCk reVeal in seasOn 2 trailer FX has unveiled the first-look trailer for the second season of Sons of Anarchy spin-off Mayans MC, and the footage suggests that the new episodes will expose a shocking secret. Polaris-owned Indian Motorcycle seems to be working on a Harley-Davidson Road Glide rival, with a frame-mounted fairing and an all-new liquid-cooled v-twin engine. While there are no details on what displacement the new engine will have, some reports indicate that it may be a new 1770 cc v-twin with an output of around 120 bhp. The patent was first filed in May 2017, and approved by the US Patent and Trademark Office in March 2019. Motorcycle.com has tracked down what seems to be the original patent filed for this new engine, revealing some details and confirma on that it is indeed a liquid-cooled v-twin power plant, which was to be used in a new model in Indian's line-up. The patent illustra ons reveal an engine that looks similar to the one seen in the spy shot, with similar cooling fins and valve covers. The bike revealed in the spy shot is almost certainly going to be an upcoming model from Indian Motorcycle, even though the visible branding on the engine and cam covers are blo ed out, the inimitable war bonnet on the front fender is a dead giveaway. Indian has already trademarked three poten al names, which include the Challenger, Raven and Renegade. So far, it's s ll not known what the new motorcycle will be called when the produc on model is rolled out, maybe in a few months' me. eurOpean h.O.g rally 2019: 29k Bikes and 50k mOtOrCyClists!
