BSHDFC E-Mag March/April 2019 | Page 9 Tom Sco (BSHDFC Wheaton, IL) Oswald Chambers writes, "The everlas ng GOD…neither faints nor is weary." (Is40:28) Exhaus on means that our vital energies are completely worn out and spent. Spiritual exhaus on is never a result of sin, but service. Whether or not you experience exhaus on will depend on where you get your supplies. Jesus said to Peter, "Feed my sheep," but He gave him nothing with which to feed them (John 21:17). The process of being made broken bread and poured out wine means that you have to be the nourishment for other people's souls un l they learn to feed on God. They must drain you completely, to the very last drop. But be careful to replenish your supply, or you will quickly be u erly exhausted. Un l others learn how to draw on the life of the Lord Jesus directly, they will have to draw on His life through you. You must literally be their source of supply, un l they learn to take their nourishment from God. We owe it to God to be our best for His lambs and sheep, as well as for Him." Have you delivered yourself over to exhaus on because of the way you have been serving God? If so, then renew and rekindle your desires and affec ons. Examine your reasons for service. Is your source based on your own understanding or is it grounded on the redemp on of Jesus Christ? Con nually look back to the founda on of your love and affec on and remember where your source of power lies. You have no right to complain, "Oh Lord, I am so exhausted." He saved and sanc fied you to exhaust you. Be exhausted for God, but remember that He is your supply. "All my springs are in you." (Psalm 87:7) Congratula ons to Kim Osburn, who has graciously agreed to come on board as our new Regional Director for the Eastern Great Lakes (Michigan, Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky). The purpose of the regional director is to bring leadership, care and accountability to our chapter presidents and area contacts (members without a chapter). Thank-you Kim for accep ng this cri cal responsibility, and thank-you Dave Finney (BSHDFC Feed My (Black) Sheep Na onal Board) for overseeing our Regional Directors. The philosophy of BSHDFC is to care and account for EVERY member, no ma er how big or far we grow. Members like Kim make this level of unity possible. A orney Hal Stewart passed away suddenly last week in his sleep. For decades, Hal was an a orney for the Free Methodist Church. When BSHDFC started in 1999, Hal stepped in pro-bono to help the motorcycle ministry with it's 501c3. He was a friend of BSHDFC, always available to walk us through legal ma ers. He was a man of God who was an invaluable lay leader and friend. He will be greatly missed. Each year, The Lamb's Fellowship in Lake Elsinore, CA sponsors a car show to benefit under privileged kids in their city. The church is one of Black Sheep's oldest sponsors, giving thousands of dollars and use of their facili es each year. While Black Sheep has been involved with the car show from the beginning, our a endance at this year's show has been requested with a new fervor! Hundreds of people come to this show each year and typically car buffs appreciate anything with a motor and a fancy paint job. In the past, local BSHDFC chapters have set up a booth and introduced the ministry to the car show crowd. We are encouraging ALL SOUTHERN CALIFORNIA Black Sheep to make an effort to a end the May 18th event and to take a pro- ac ve role, mee ng people, sharing the Gospel and represen ng Black Sheep: Harley-Davidsons for Christ. You do not need to have a "show" bike to support this event. All American v-twins are beau ful and impressive to a motorized crowd! Let's show up and shine for Jesus!
