BSHDFC E-Mag November 2018 | Page 5 The Black Sheep are growing in the big state of Texas – and not just in numbers. With significant growth near San Antonio, south of Houston and new leadership in Dallas, there are a lot of things to be excited about! The Texans are becoming more organized, are now under regional leadership and have just celebrated yet another successful state rally due to the careful panning of Ma Gardner (President of Alamo Black Sheep/Photo). In addi on, there are "area contacts" in several small Texas communi es. The October event began at Gruene i.e. (Green) Harley-Davidson followed by a ride to the Costello's home (Alamo members) for food, fun and games. The next couple of days would include more riding and more food at interes ng restaurants but would soon take a remarkable turn with a ride to the Sutherland Springs Bap st church. Our readers will quickly remember this name as it was the target of a hideous and cowardly shoo ng last year which le twenty members wounded and twenty-six church members dead including the daughter of Pastor Roy Pomeroy. Texas member Hub Woods writes: "The Texas Rally broke my heart, and yet at the same me opened me up to an even greater [understanding of] supernatural love. I learned from these kind people [from the Sutherland congrega on] how on that horrible day, before the dust and smoke had even se led in that li le sanctuary, they said you could feel God's holy presence. To this day, His holy presence is so evident in that li le church and we were able to experience that. Today, Black Sheep is so honored to have Pastor Roy as a patched and riding member of the Black Sheep. It is our desire to con nue to be a source of encouragement and support to Pastor Roy and the Sutherland Bap st Church. 2018 Texas BsHDFC Rally Pastor Greg Diaman Santa Maria, CA On behalf of the Santa Maria Black Sheep, we want to say "thank-you" to all of our Santa Maria HOG family for the love and support you showed during our "Bike Blessing" event on Saturday, August 11th. A special thanks to Johnny Wya for bringing up the sugges on that we have a bike blessing at the Harley Shop and to Chris Backs for making this event possible! So many of our HOG members pitched in to help! Special thanks also to Phil Reitz and Joe Zeller, and the serving crew for the delicious BBQ! In addi on, the band's entertainment during our lunch me provided a great atmosphere for the en re event. It was a good me and all those who a ended were blessed. During the bike blessing, we had so many of the bikers tell us that they would like to have more "Bike Blessings" in the future. We were able to pray for all who asked and there were even some very special connec ons made during this me. We certainly look forward to doing this again! As Black Sheep, it is our goal to minister and serve HOG in any way we can. We count it a privilege to connect with each member of our HOG family. We really do have a special HOG family in Santa Maria and want each of you to know you are loved and in our prayers.
