If you slap a bull you're going get the horns! Some mes it's referred to as the Law of Reciprocity. I'm not so sure that it's so much God's punishment as it is that stupid- evil-selfish-s ngy-reckless behavior will produce an undesirable result. Likewise, loving-generous-though ul-prudent behavior will produce a posi ve return. We can read about Jacob in the book of Genesis how he cheated his brother, cheated his father and was then later cheated by his father-in-law. We can read about Hayman in the book of Esther who hated the Jews so much, he even built a gallows in which to execute their key leaders. In the end, Hayman was himself executed on those gallows. Again, "What goes around, comes around" and "What we sow is what we reap!" The Law of Reciprocity. "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked." We cannot sow irresponsibility and pray for success (no ma er how hard you pray).We cannot sow donuts and pray for muscles. We cannot gamble our money away in a slot machine and then ask God to bless it. If we want our marriages to thrive – we must invest in them. If we want our children to succeed in life – we must invest in them now. If you want your BSHDFC chapter to do something great for God, it's going to take something great from you. Jesus said, "Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you." (Luke 6:38 NIV) Another paraphrase (The Message) says it like this: "Don't pick on people, jump on their failures, cri cize their faults—unless, of course, you want the same treatment. Don't condemn those who are down; that hardness can boomerang. Be easy on people; you'll find life a lot easier. Give away your life; you'll find life given back, but not merely given back—given back with bonus and blessing. Giving, not ge ng, is the way. Generosity begets generosity." In 2019 BSHDFC will celebrate their 20th year of ministry by coming together in several loca ons around the United States. We are calling these new "fun size" events ZONE RALLIES (i.e. something bigger than a region but smaller than na onal). Zone events will be distributed around the con nental US according to climate and local support. The contents of each Zone Rally will vary, but each will include riding, ea ng, music and the sharing of the Gospel. Unlike ILS, Zone events will be more fun and fellowship with an opportunity for the Sheep to come together with fellow HOG members and friends. We're asking regional directors to spark the ini al vision in their chapters and regions and then develop sub-commi ees to work out the details. Our na onal office will offer whatever assistance they can. Right now there are only two events developing and the dates are s ll TBD.
